Thank you, Heath. Yes, look. We love success stories for our clients. It’s them winning. It’s us winning. It’s everyone winning together. And Nicola and Soma, were a lovely couple with a young family, two daughters living in cold, icy, cold Canberra.
And they had enough of the conditions, they wanted to move over (see our interstate property services), over to the Wild West with this beautiful sunshine and everything that goes along with the West Australian climate.
A challenging brief
Find a property before October
They gave us a pretty tricky brief because they really should have started looking back in probably May or June 2022, but they came on board in August and they said Simon, Heath, please find us a house in the next two weeks so we can move in just before October.
Budget: $600,000
They had a huge, wide brief, a budget of $600,000, but they were open to a lot of suburbs east, north and south. After two weeks of searching through hundreds of properties, Heath and myself had narrowed it down to three target properties.
Presenting properties to the buyers
Suburb: Marangaroo
We presented the target properties to the clients, and they went for one Marangaroo, a very beautiful family home, and a large 680 square meter block in a beautiful cul de sac location.
And they will be sharing that with other like-minded families. What we found so rewarding about this client win, wasn’t necessarily saving them big dollars on the purchase or getting a great rent return because they’re moving into it.

Upgrading from an apartment to a beautiful home
It was all about helping a family relocate to Western Australia and saying how happy they were to upgrade from living in an apartment. You know, family with two kids living in a three-bedroom apartment to being able to move in to a beautiful four by two large family home on a beautiful large block to allow the kids to be running around in the backyard and having a lot of fun!
